GoldBod Jewellery was a standout honouree at the prestigious Africa Governments Summit and Public Sector Innovation Awards (APSIA) 2026.
The high-level event, hosted at the plush Marriott Hotel on Thursday, 5th March 2026, brought together heads of state, policymakers, and industry titans under the theme: “Driving Institutional Excellence and Public Sector Transformation Across Africa.”
GoldBod Jewellery was presented with the Public Sector Value-Addition and Gold Industry Innovation Excellence Award.
The award is recognition of the company’s transformative role in shifting the narrative of Ghana’s gold industry from raw export to sophisticated, high-value manufacturing.
The award highlights GoldBod’s commitment to
Local Value Creation through strengthening of the domestic supply chain by refining and crafting premium jewellery within Ghana and technological innovation, which is done through the implementation of modern design and casting techniques that meet international luxury standards.
It also signifies the economic impact of Goldbod Jewellery in supporting the government’s vision of a “value-added economy” by increasing the fiscal worth of mineral resources before they leave African shores.
The APSIA awards serve as a benchmark for excellence, celebrating entities that bridge the gap between public sector goals and private sector efficiency.
Several public and private sector institutions were honoured during the summit for their contributions to innovation, governance, and national development.
